This A-series Lorée oboe was made in the mid-1940’s. It has just been through the shop and is in perfect working order, with no cracks, plating or mechanical wear. It features a traditional pad setup with a combination of felt and cork pads, and has been outfitted with leather bumpers throughout for added durability. This oboe has fully professional keywork, but does NOT include a left-F key. While instruments made during the war years are not as sought after by professionals today as certain other vintages, this oboe still sings with a classic French oboe sound and has many years of playing to come.
